Ladies, you're invited to

a fun women's yoga retreat

AUGUST 7-13th, 2022

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Looking for a getaway that's part adventure, part relaxation and part fun? Look no further.

This ain't your typical yoga retreat.
YES, we do yoga every day.
YES, we have a schedule (that we mostly keep to).
YES, you get tons of free time to do what you want.

Because my ONE AND ONLY RULE is...

and I'll be there with you, guiding the way.

What's the theme about?

Finally! I'm so excited to share the theme I've been dreaming about:

Yoga, Wine and Waterfalls

Please, don't come for the yoga. Instead, let the yoga take you deeper into your experience of this beautiful place. The yoga helps you melt away the stress build-up and anchor you into your body. So you can feel your best and fully absorb your well-deserved time away.

Love a glass of wine? Great! (Not your thing? No worries.) Wine stands for a value I hold close to my heart: enjoying life. This place is all about soaking it up, not worrying about a thing and enjoying the moment.

Tap into the adventurous spirit inside of you. You'll walk pebbled paths, scramble down a valley into a waterfall and see all kinds of wildlife big and small. Waterfalls represent the child inside of you that begs to come out and play.

"I hadn't felt so at peace in a long time." - Amy, 48

What does a typical day look like?

Feel your best with an itinerary? Or do you prefer going with the flow? Everything on this retreat is planned out AND optional, so you decide.

MORNING yoga and breakfast
MIDDAY free time
EVENING sunset/group activity and dinner

Get a massage
Walk the beach
Explore the town shops
Catnap and read a book
Dip in the pool

One day we will take a trip as a group to explore a cute nearby town. You can expect hiking the jungle, swimming in waterfalls, lunch on the beach, ice cream and more.

"I told my friends they MUST join me for the next one." - Kirsten, 49

What's the yoga like?

Rebecca always teaches "to the room". That means the instruction is adapted daily to fit the abilities, the experience and the energy of the participants.

That being said, it is best if you are able to get up and down easily from a yoga mat, perform both sitting and standing postures without assistance of chairs or walls and have an enthusiasm to learn and experiment with new things.

Want to check out Rebecca's teaching style? Try her Yoga for Free program to get a taste.

Your Comfort

Santa Teresa is known for being "off the grid" where you'll be immersed in nature, far away from your worries. You will find the terrain to be a bit wild from the small plane, the taxi ride on some unpaved roads and also some walking paths that are unfinished. The natural and wild beauty of this place is what draws people here. If it's difficult for you to climb up and down uneven terrain or pebbled walkways, you may not be comfortable. But if you have any questions about your comfort, please just ask.

All classes are held outdoors on the fully shaded, ocean view yoga deck. All mats and props are provided.

"It was a transformative week." - Deirdre, 49

Meet Rebecca, your yoga teacher and camp counselor of FUN

Hi! I'm Rebecca and I teach yoga for women over 40. I live in Santa Teresa with my husband Guillermo, our forever puppy Lucas and our three cats. I love gathering friends, telling stories and if I'm lucky, catching a nice long wave on my longboard.

I firmly believe that no matter your size, shape, or ability, this practice can be taught to fit your body, just as you are. I "teach to the room" enabling you to listen to your body, make smart choices, and do yoga that your body loves. If I had to name it, I'd call it slow flow/hatha style mixed with yoga therapy.

Rebecca and Guille

I started teaching in 2006 in Washington DC and in 2017 I moved to Costa Rica to teach at Horizon, your hotel. Since 2020, I've been teaching only online but my favorite thing is leading retreats for you.

I will plan an unforgettable week so you and your friends can kick back, have fun and immerse yourself in the stunning nature of this wild beach town.

  • Currently, all foreigners are welcome to travel to Costa Rica. As of April 1st, 2022 YOU DO NOT NEED to show proof of vaccination OR a negative covid test (though it is highly recommended you self-test before your departure). You DO NOT need to quarantine after your arrival.

  • If your home country requires a negative covid test within 24 hours of your return home, we will arrange testing for you in time for your departure.

If you have questions about travel to Costa Rica and covid, please contact me. After you register, I will keep you updated of requirements as they change.

What's the hotel like?

The word "Eden" comes to mind as Hotel Horizon is nestled among lush tropical gardens on a steep hill side above town just steps from the beach, affording you a stunning view of the ocean from the yoga deck, the restaurant and most of the villas.

While you gaze out over the Pacific Ocean for richly colored sunsets, hear the howler monkeys roar through the trees and smell the ylang-ylang trees sweetly wafting through the breeze. When you walk up the stone steps to their restaurant, the organic Tea House, you'll feel a sense of relief wash through you and know that this is a place where you can be yourself and relax.

A family-owned establishment, Yoav and Gali will welcome you as part of their own family. They will always be there with a smile to help you with anything you need to make your stay more comfortable.

View photos of your hotel on Instagram.

After you register for the retreat, you'll receive very detailed information on how to book your travel.
